Getting it together

on December 29, 2008

We spent most of our post-Christmas weekend cleaning and getting baby stuff ready. Scott did a lot of the cleaning out of stuff and I did a lot of wrestling around with baby gear. We think we did pretty well. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but we’re definitely getting there. If he decided to make his appearance now, he would have a car seat to travel around in, a pack and play and/or bassinet to sleep in (the crib is out of the box but remains unassembled) and a rocker to hang out in.

Check out my handiwork. Hopefully, the baby will have more meat on his bones than sock monkey, my handy dandy model and test subject. I’m also hoping his limbs aren’t as long as my stuffed friend’s. 🙂

We had a doctor’s appointment this morning. Nothing new to report since our last appointment. Right now, the baby is not any closer to getting here. For a while, I had this feeling that he was going to be a week early but now I have a feeling he’s going to be late. There are still THREE WEEKS to go so I guess anything can happen between now and then. THREE WEEKS can you believe it?

  1. Allie says:

I should have had sock monkey to practice with! That freakin carseat is a booger!

  2. We’ll see how it goes when we have a squirmy kiddo instead of the semi-still sock monkey. 🙂
